Choi Pui Wah

Dr. Choi Pui-wah, a biomedical scientist with a Ph.D. from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, specializes in women’s health, focusing on ovarian cysts and cancer. Her research has uncovered critical insights into ovarian cancer, which claims 150,000 lives annually. After postdoctoral training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, she founded WomenX Biotech Limited to advance women’s diagnostics. Her groundbreaking project is a non-invasive cervical cancer self-test kit using menstrual blood, addressing discomfort from traditional methods, aiming to launch the complete test kit by 2025. Dr. Choi actively promotes women’s health through social media and startup fairs, inspiring future scientists and driving innovation in women’s healthcare.

蔡佩樺博士為香港中文大學生物醫學博士，專研婦女健康領域，聚焦卵巢囊腫及癌症領域。其研究揭示卵巢癌關鍵致病機理（全球年奪15萬人性命），曾於哈佛醫學院旗下布萊根婦女醫院完成博士後研究，後創辦樺盟生物科技有限公司推動婦科診斷技術革新。最具突破性研發項目為利用經血檢測技術開發非侵入式宮頸癌自檢套裝，解決傳統宮頸抹片檢查不適感，目標於2025年推出完整檢測套裝。蔡博士積極透過社交平台及創業展覽會倡導婦女健康，除啟發新生代科研人才，更致力推動婦科醫療創新發展。
