The JESSICA Company Hong Kong Junior Squash Open 2026 Wraps Up: Three Consecutive Years of Title Sponsorship, and a Generation Growing Up on Court

Title sponsored by The JESSICA Company, organised by the Squash Association of Hong Kong, China, funded by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau (Arts and Sport Development Fund), with apparel sponsorship from INNOTIER Limited and full support from the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the 2026 The JESSICA Company Hong Kong Junior Squash Open ran for six days at the Hong Kong Squash Centre and came to a close on 9 August. This year's edition welcomed 770 young players from 19 countries and regions, filling the venue with energy from the first serve to the final point.

Three consecutive years: from a single sponsorship to a long-term partnership

2026 marks the third consecutive year that The JESSICA Company has served as title sponsor of the tournament. What began in 2024 has since grown into a long-term commitment to youth sport development in Hong Kong.

For The JESSICA Company, the Junior Squash Open has never been only about the scoreline. It is a stage where young people learn to handle pressure, to fall behind, and to find a way back. Whether or not they finish on the podium, the focus, resilience and sportsmanship these players show on court reflect what the brand has always believed. Confidence and leadership are built one challenge at a time.

Prize presentation: celebrating the next generation

The prize presentation took place immediately after the Girls' Under-19 final. Dr Lam King Tak, Chairman of the Junior Development Committee of the Squash Association of Hong Kong, China, together with Ms Jessica Ng, Founder of The JESSICA Company, Mr Tin Kwong Yu, Honorary Secretary of the Squash Association of Hong Kong, China and Honorary Treasurer of the Asian Squash Federation, Mr Ren Wang, Chairman of the Coaching Committee of the Asian Squash Federation, and Ms Wong Yim Man, Assistant Leisure Services Manager I of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, presented the awards to the winners of each age group.

On court: 19 countries and regions, one shared drive

From Under-9 to Under-19, the six days offered a full spectrum of the sport. Some of the youngest players held rackets almost as tall as they were, yet chased down every ball. The older age groups produced fast, physical rallies where the deciding factor was often composure rather than power.

With players from 19 countries and regions competing side by side, the tournament became more than a competition. It gave young athletes a chance to meet peers from across the world, and it gave coaches, parents and volunteers an equally visible role in the week's success.
