<p>禁忌1.魚缸不能過小<br />
養金魚前先要準備好一個體積不能太小的魚缸，這要根據你所飼養的金魚體型和數量來決定。有很多新手通常一見到喜歡的魚就買，這會影響魚缸的密度。因為密度過大會很容易導致水中缺氧、水質惡化，繼而令金魚生病死亡。</p>

<p>禁忌2.不能直接放新水<br />
金魚用的新水，要先把它存放一至兩天，這稱為「曬水」。目的是為了把水中的氯氣慢慢去掉，而另一個作用是使新水和舊水的温度接近。</p>

金魚可以在很寬的温度範圍內生存，冬天在冰層以下仍可維持生命。不過在熱天時，不能把魚缸被陽光直接照射，而且如果魚缸內的水温急劇改變，就會很容易令到牠們有生命危險。</p>

每天餵食一至兩次就可以了！陰雨天少餵一餐都可以，因為金魚在這種天氣下，消化食物時需要消耗更多的氧。陰雨天、或晚間時分氣壓會較低，溶入水中的氧也會相對地低。</p>

每一次為魚缸換水，都不應該換水過多。因為水質突然變化得太多，會令金魚無法適應而得病，甚至會突發死亡。</p>

要保持魚缸內的水質清潔，如果金魚食量很大，會消耗大量氧氣及排出大量廢物，繼而令到水質變得混濁，並容易滋生細菌。所以為了保持水質清潔，最好安裝一個帶充氣設計的過濾水器，讓過濾和充氣同時進行，令水質得以淨化！</p>

<p>禁忌7.不要餵食過飽<br />
可根據金魚的排泄物來分辨牠們的饑飽，和消化吸收情況。例如排泄物呈綠色、棕色或黑色的話，那就表示魚兒的吸收能力良好，不過如果牠們排出白色的糞便，那就代表牠們過飽。所以在你還未清楚了解牠們的飲食習慣前，你可以每天增加或減少糧食，然後慢慢觀察牠們的排泄物而去定下正式的食量。</p>
