<p><strong>提到以色列，你會聯想到些甚麼？一般人會想到沒完沒了的戰火，教友大概會説是神聖之地，我則會聯想起科技創新。所以，在直播奧運的熒幕上，當我目睹來自科技之都的小伙子（Artem Dolgopyat）奪冠，且還不是射擊、拳擊等武藝比拼，而是個人自由體操，技壓中日歐美強敵，那一刻的愕然，真的不可言喻。</strong></p>

<p>有了意料之外的預期，及後看到在場邊織毛衣的英倫花俏男和搭檔摘下雙人跳水金牌，或者法國型男排球奪冠，以及中國飛人差點拿下 100 米接力銅牌，一聲聲驚嘆，雖然還不時出現，但最少開始接受了兩個事實：其一是大眾的業餘想像，跟不上運動世界呈現的專業實况；其二是國際間的競爭角力，關鍵都在人才，尤其這類國際「武林大會」或者「人才博覽會」，四年才舉行一屆，此消彼長的現象，特別明顯。</p>
<p>同樣道理，不少人會以為游泳的世界，一定只是美國和澳洲的天下，然而這屆奥運的成績表，卻呈現悄然改變的地貌。上屆只得到一枚金牌的英國泳隊，表現讓人刮目相看，拿到四金三銀一銅，在碧波金牌榜上名列季軍，在新增項目 100 米男女混合接力賽中，更打破了世界紀錄。</p>
<p>至於賽前不被看好的中國泳隊，則收穫了三金二銀一銅，男女選手都有金牌進帳，並打破了世界及奧運紀錄。還有日本和俄羅斯，也各摘下兩金。至於令人驚喜的大冷門，要數 18 歲的突尼斯泳手哈弗諾伊（Ahmed Hafnaoui），在男子 400 米自由泳撃敗澳洲和美國的勁敵奪冠。</p>
<p>人才全球化的趨勢，在東奧盡現，乒乓球手就是個好例証，德國、波蘭、加拿大、澳洲、新加坡等超過十個國家的代表，都有華人男女選手的身影。另一邊廂，德國的前世界冠軍波爾（Timo Boll）、日本的平野美宇及新加坡的馮天薇，早年都曾落戶神州的乒超聯賽，熟悉球路下增加了取勝實力。</p>

<p>至於在運動員後面發功的教練，更是百花齊放，西班牙女子花式泳隊的教頭，是來自東灜的藤木麻佑子；中國羽毛球的雙打教練姜京珍和柳鏞成，則來自場上宿敵韓國。至於香港隊，劍手張家朗勇奪花劍金牌，贏盡歡呼喝采，得歸功於來自內地的汪昌永教練，以及法國教練柯尼（Gregory Koenig）；飛魚何詩蓓兩奪自由泳銀牌，發揮技術和力量的突破，美國大學教練博譚（Mike Bottom）和比索（Rick Bishop）的指導，功不可沒。</p>
<p>金牌教練當然有來有往，身為跳水運動強國，中國冠軍教練為美國、加拿大、英國、澳洲和墨西哥等重金禮聘，從而提升整體表現從後趕上，前面提到的英倫跳水王子戴利 （Tom Daley），他的伯樂正是來自中國的教練陳文及李鵬。</p>
<p>從賽場到職場，身懷各式本領的巾幗高手，以及英雄好漢，各自匯流到世上能用武之地，可謂無遠弗屆，因為人才的天下，是平的。</p>
